I think michael kors discount it partly my fault.I kind of minimalist clothes wise, and generally rotate brown flats, black flats, brown boots, and black boots.I have other a few other shoes(1 2 pairs of sandals, 1 2 pairs of heels, running shoes, etc)But 90% of the time, i wearing one of those first four.

I see these girls with tons of shoes, and i wonder if i should be rotating my shoes more.I do try to switch it up, and i generally wouldn wear a certain shoe three days in a row, but i might wear it three days in a week.

The other problem is that i walk.A lot.I live in a city, and it just how i get around.I have a pedometer app on my phone(Pacer, which i highly recommend), so I can tell you that I probably average about 5 miles over the course of a day.I definitely feel like this would have an effect on how long my shoes last.

I don wear athletic shoes unless i actually running. And i don wear converse, vans, etc.I could get away with a little bit more utility in my boots, but i yet to find any that actually last longer or feel more comfortable than my flats.I had multiple iterations of

I tried to buy"Quality"Brands like clarks and designerish brands like tory burch/steve madden, but i don find that they last any longer than the boots i buy from target.Either way, i end up with shoes that start to look shabby almost immediately.I literally just bought a pair of $170 boots from clarks, and they already looking scuffed and kind of worn.Which is no wonder, since i probably put around 20 michael kors sale uk miles on them in two weeks.

Even though i tend to look for high quality with the rest of my clothes, with shoes i just want a $30 pair of flats that i wear into the ground.Buying shoes makes me second guess myself like crazy, and i feel like what comfortable and what not is a complete crap shoot unless it literally a replacement of a shoe i already own.

Also, at what point do you think it time to throw a shoe away? When there literally a hole in the sole? When they a little scuffed?I don go for the grunge/boho look, so theoretically they shouldn look shabby at all but no one is perfect and i think a certain amount of wear is acceptable.

Am i crazy for expecting my flats to look good when i walking so much?Am i buying the wrong brands? How the hell do i take care of shoes other than not crushing/bending them? Why is this post so long?

Your average ballet style flat is just not made to stand up to hundreds of hours of walking.Even if you buy a luxury brand like tory burch or kate spade, you often paying for the style and the brand name at least as much as construction. There a difference between $30 flats and $300 flats, but the extra cost doesn make them indestructible. In my mind, flats are"In between"Shoes;I wear them on brief walking stints between bus and subway or on quick trips out to the grocery store. For serious walking, i want something that covers my foot better and offers more cushioning at the very least, a loafer style shoe. (Nothing makes me rage harder than catching my toe on an uneven sidewalk in flats the pain! The scuffing! )

Clarks are pretty good, but i wouldn call them the end all be all of quality. You may want to consider brands like ll bean and frye.Bean will accept returns at any time, for any reason, no matter what.New fryes are covered by a 2 year warranty, and are also maintenance friendly;I often read on here about ladies getting theirs resoled, etc.If you looking for a store vs.A particular brand, nordstrom carries many good products and has a very liberal return policy(Because they want to keep you coming back! ).

If your shoes are leather, you can do a few things to really extend their life. The biggie is never to wear them two days in a row.Giving them a day off lets them dry out fully between wears, and extends their life. The other thing is to treat them regularly. If scuffs bother you, get some shoe polish.Buy some leather conditioner(I a fan of bickmore 4)And condition your shoes regularly to michael kors cheap bags uk counter the effects of moisture(And salt, if you in a snowy place).
